Friday, May 28, 2004 - Seniors Allie Miller of Los Altos and Julian Eison of Westmoor rose above the competition to CCS victories today at San Jose City College. Along with the top three boys, seven girls cleared 5'4" or better to qualify for next Friday's CIF State prelims at Hughes Stadium in Sacramento.

Saturday, May 22, 2004 - Nine girls were clean through 5'2" or better and eight boys were clean through 6'0" or better today as seventeen jumpers qualified on at CCS Trials today at San Jose City College.

Wednesday, May 19, 2004 - The eleventh installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list is now here. Lead by Tuosto and Miller, three new boys and another twenty six new marks made the grade this second week of league meets and qualifiers.

Tuesday, May 18, 2004 - *UNOFFICIAL* CCS Trials entry list! -- 34 boys and 33 girls...8 boys at 6'2" or higher lead by Greenfield senior Joel Tuosto's CCS-leading 6'7"...13 girls at 5'2" or higher, 7 girls at 5'3" or higher lead by defending CCS champ and Los Altos senior Allie Miller's CCS-leading 5'8"!

Tuesday, May 18, 2004 - 35 pix from the SCVAL Qualifer on Saturday (26 HJ including three of Allie Miller attempting 5'10") are now posted on the Photos page.

Thursday, May 13, 2004 - The much-anticipated tenth installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list is finally here! One new boy, five new girls, and twenty six new marks excelled during this week of league meets.

Sunday, May 2, 2004 - Eight new jumpers and another twenty seven new marks appear in the ninth installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list.

Senior Bethany Johansen of Mitty jumped 5'08" again this past week to reclaim the #1 girls ranking. Junior Chelsea Huff set a new Aptos school record with a leap of 5'05.25" as two additional teammates swell the number of Aptos jumpers on the lists to seven!

Tuesday, April 27, 2004 - Seven new jumpers and twenty seven new marks appear in the eighth installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list.

Laurie Roberts of Menlo-Atherton cleared 5'08" Saturday night to win the Bay Area Top 8 meet at James Logan just one day after Amber Kaufman of Branham jumped the same height at Los Gatos to claim our #1 ranking from Bethany Johansen of Mitty. All three jumpers now rank among the top five in California and top seventeen in the country!

Saturday, April 23, 2004 - Results for the Los Gatos CCS Top 8 Track and Field Classic are now posted. Eighteen boys and girls posted marks that will make this week's 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list (including a probable new #1 girl's mark in a competition that featured three State-Top-10 marks!).

Tuesday, April 20, 2004 - The top jumps of last week belonged to Taylor O'Connor of Mercy-Burlingame who debuts at #3 with marks of 5'04" and 5'02", and Bobby Kritzer of Monta Vista who debuts at #2 with a 6'03" jump. The seventh installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list adds two jumpers and eleven new marks.

Tuesday, April 13, 2004 - One new jumper and nine new marks have been added for the sixth installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list. Top jumps of the week went to Bethany Johansen of Mitty (5'07") and Chelsea Huff of Aptos (5'04") as results from the Arcadia and Gilroy Invitationals make up most of the new marks.

Tuesday, April 6, 2004 - Thirty four jumpers and fifteen new marks are now listed in the fifth installment of the 2004 CCS Top High Jump Marks list. Top jumps of the week went to Bethany Johansen of Mitty (5'06"), Hunter Young of Aptos (6'02"), and Jalal Beauchman of Bellarmine (6'02") who debuts in the #3 spot.

Friday, January 16, 2004 - The 2004 Track and Field season is approaching rapidly and All-Comer meets have already begun on Saturday afternoons at Los Gatos High School. If you are not currently participating in a Winter sport, it's time to start jogging and stretching!

The primary focus of this website for the Spring of 2004 will be at the high school level. Local college and middle-school meet schedules and results will be posted if they are submitted.

During the summer, the focus of this site will shift towards all-comers, sub/masters, and age-group competitions.

Basic jumping technique and training information should be coming soon. This will benefit jumpers of all ages. Lots of other things are planned as well. And your comments and suggestions are always welcome. Let me know what you want to see here! :)
