The PR was actually achieved in the trials on Friday. Those results are over three times as large and will be posted tomorrow. I did not take a video camera on this trip, so I'll be scouring the web for photos. I did get good video footage of the CCS Finals and will be posting some of those clips in the next few days as well.

11:50pm Friday, May 26, 2000 - CCS Championships: Jenna Grimaldi's 5-10 winning jump set a new CCS girls record. Nate Maxell won the boys competition by clearing 6-6 twice. See Results for the details.

11:59pm Sunday, May 21, 2000 - It was hot in Sacramento and so was the high jumping with winning heights of 6'2" and 7'8.5"! See Results to see who all was there and how they did. Okay, so I was up too late last night and didn't arrive in time to register so videotaped all of the top jumps instead. When things where done, I tied on my spikes and took some run-throughs with the bar still set at 7'10.5" . The Mondo surface is a thin, hard rubber--very good for jumping--but the foot-draggers have already scraped it up pretty bad.... Tomorrow I'll create movie clips from this weekend's footage.

1:00am Sunday, May 21, 2000 - CCS Trials results for both boys and girls are now posted in the Results section. A review of the videotape shows that this time I finally succeeded in recording all jumps in both competitions! I expect to be very tired when I get back from Sacramento Sunday night, so don't expect to find movies before late Monday.

6:30am Saturday, May 20, 2000 - The other updates I promised can be found on this new high.jumper.com 's Bookmarks page. The content is sorted but didn't get onto the site because the movies took too long to process. If you look at the PA-USATF calendar, you'll see that the Open Championships are tomorrow in Sacramento at the site of the Olympic Trials. I plan to drive up and take my spikes--why watch from the stands when you can be on the field!

4:00am Saturday, May 20, 2000 - Fifteen new movies have been posted in the Multimedia section from the CCS Northern Sub-Section meet. If anyone has digital pictures or movies from the Southern Sub-Section meet or any league meet, please send them in so I can post them!

8:00pm Friday, May 19, 2000 - Results from the Southern Sub-Section are now posted. Northern results have been up since last Sunday. All girls' jumps were videotaped except the winning jump (oops). Most of the boys' jumps at 6-0 were recorded before the battery died. I will have new batteries for tomorrow. Look for more updates this evening of recent results, video of jumps, the summer calendar, and possibly an Olympic preview.

8:45pm Saturday, May 13, 2000 - I've just returned from the CCS North Sub-section meet at Los Gatos High School. I will post the high jump results from this meet in a few minutes. Then I will begin reviewing the video tape from the meet and report here what jumps should be available.
